The estate is located in Montalcino, between 150 and 180 metres above sea level, in a setting where the land becomes an integral part of the character of the wines.

The vineyards face south-west and lie on alluvial soils, where gravel, sand and clay come together to create rich and complex ground.

To the north, woods cover the hills behind the estate, providing natural protection for the vineyards. Looking ahead, the landscape opens towards the coast. It is from this direction that the Maestrale arrives — the Maremma wind that travels up the Ombrone valley and moves through the vineyards.

It is this constant balance between protection and ventilation, between soil and climate, that makes this corner of Montalcino so distinctive.

Here, the grapes ripen slowly, allowing them to develop complexity, balance and depth over time.
